Today I visited the beach in Rota, Spain to check on the breeding sites of our beloved Kentish Plovers. First the bad news: some retards found it necessary to damage the beautiful signs made by college children that were placed on the beach to make people aware of the Plover's presence. How do you tell those kids now that their work has disappeared?

Do not cross! Take care of the Kentish Plover. |

But our joined efforts have not been completely in vain. This morning I saw a pair of Kentish Plovers together with their offspring, two lovely chicks! We can now hope they survive the multitude of threats they face every day. |

We hope there is positive news to tell on a next update. With so many people visiting the beach in the next few months, we have to keep fingers crossed and continue informing people.
