It was still quite dark when I arrived at the Esperanza saltpans in Puerto Real before 7 AM. The trail across this labyrinth was even shorter than I expected and there was also less to see than I had hoped.
I was most surprised by the presence of some European Serins, which sat in some nearby trees. Not a lot of great opportunities to take great photos either, so my visit was limited to about ninety minutes. Just before the heat started to get noticeable.
