During my today's visit to Costa Ballena, the first bird I spotted was a Kestrel. It seemed that during my whole walk I was being followed by this species, everywhere I looked I saw a male or female Kestrel sitting up a tree, a building or a post. Not that I found it annoying! The birds let me come quite close, and even came down on the ground to snatch some insects while I was very close.
They can be hard to spot when they sit in a tree because of their camouflage plumage.

Focussing on the bird when it flies past trees that have a similar colour is difficult for the human eye, so it is not surprising that a camera struggles with that too, but the Canon 90D did a more than decent job here.
