A last walk around the Costa Ballena area this year resulted in several nice bird-in-flight shots, something I am going to focus on more in 2023.

Along one of the canals I spotted a female Kingfisher. This species has been the centre of my attention for quite a while. As I came closer, it flew off, but I noticed the bird again sitting on a branch hanging over the water of one of the ponds. I was fortunate enough to capture the moment when it emerged out of the water.

No really close shot of the Kingfisher this time either, unfortunately.
